Test How Much You Sit

Research shows that being sedentary increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. The positive thing is that every little step that reduces your sitting has good health effects. Here you get to explore how much you actually sit and how you can become less sedentary.

Sitting at home
Write down all the activities you do while sitting at home, e.g. at the kitchen table or on the couch in front of the TV, and try to indicate approximately how many minutes you spend on these in a typical day.
Sitting in transit
Write down all the activities you do sitting in transit, e.g. on the bus or in the car, and try to indicate approximately how many minutes you spend on these in a typical day.
Sitting in other contexts outside the home
Write down all the activities you do sitting in other contexts outside the home, e.g. at work, clubs or at home with friends, and try to indicate approximately how many minutes you spend on these in a typical day.
